Facebook is ready to shell out hundreds of freshman-emails of Mark Zuckerberg at Harvard to a judge in Buffalo in a complaint brought by Paul Ceglia in the court.
Ceglia said that he is entitled to half of the stake of Zuckerberg in Facebook, the most well-known and biggest social networking site in the world. However, the company also stated in a court filing on Friday that it will not be doing so until after the complainant submits the original emails and contract on which his lawsuit is based.
According to Orin Snyder, Zuckerberg and Facebook’s attorney, their filing today makes obvious that the case with Ceglia is an incessantly moving target that becomes ever more absurd with each new complaint. Snyder also said that the preliminary complaint of Ceglia attached a counterfeit contract, but said nothing with regard to emails.
The attorney added that the complainant’s second accusation alleged that Ceglia had e-mails, but did not attached even a single one, even if he stated that they were on the computer of his parents. Snyder also added that Ceglia’s most current filing denies and discloses that he does not have any definite e-mails on computers.
In addition, Snyder claimed that they are now requesting, once and for all, the court to order him to generate all the documents and computers that will expose his deception. Facebook stated in the court filing that it will have no opposition to generating all the e-mails between Ceglia and Zuckerberg from the e-mail account of the latter at Harvard.
The filing claimed that these unquestionably real e-mails directly disagree with make-believe story of Ceglia and show that his story is a lie. Respondents are ready to generate those e-mails under a defending order after Ceglia has generated the items and documents that the lawsuit is based on.
