Jim Varney played one of the favorite Toy Story character Slinky Dog in 2001. Unfortunately, he died from lung cancer shortly following the second film was released. Numerous fans of Jim’s character were sadden to discover the gravelly voiced star passing away.
When the announcement of Disney that there will be a third Toy Story film, one of the main question in every individual’s mind was “who will be playing Slinky Dog?” it took awhile before Disney discovered a perfect voice fitted for Slinky Dog. Disney had been searching for the exact rasp and the exact soul, however, the exact voice they found wasn’t far from the late Jim Varney.
A close and a long-time companion of Varney who is Blake Clark got the offer. He might not be a recognized person, yet people can see Clark in several Billy Madison films like The Waterboy and In 50 First Dates. Clark was in The Benchwarmers and Joe Dirt. Toy Story # will be released this Friday and people can enjoy the new voice of Slinky Dog since Blake Clark channels his companion Jim Varney.
Comedian Blake Clark is an excellent choice for the role although his voice is perfect! Clark likewise has an excellent sense of timing as well as understands exactly how to deliver his line for the best effect.
