British adventurer and survival program “Man vs. Wild” star Bear Grylls was fired by American cable Television Network Discovery Channel following a continuous dispute with regard to agreements.
37-year old Grylls gained worldwide prominence due to fearless activities that he did for the program “Man vs. Wild” that was first aired in 2006. He managed to stay with eating insects, wading rapids as well as drinking his urine for the sake of survival. However, Discovery channel announced that Grylls was not attached to the network anymore as a result of problems in contracts while all current productions starring him were all terminated.
A representative of Grylls stated that both parties failed to agree with regard to a new program that eventually ended to the present scenario. Publicist for the wilderness expert Heather Krug stated that the objective of Grylls is always inclined in making life-empowering programs for his supporters all over the world and he believed that he had been through a lot of difficulties in bringing Discovery award winning shows for several seasons.
Sad to say but Grylls along with the network find difficulties in creating mutual agreement for a new show. Bear also disagreed to the decision of the network associated in terminating present productions. Bear was attached to the program and looking forward in producing additional cutting edge content in the future for his loyal supporters around the globe. Hollywood press personnel quoted industry sources as saying it revolved around a couple of undisclosed projects for which bear was contracted. However, the details of the dispute were still uncertain up to this moment.
The sixth and the most recent season of the program was aired in Discovery Network in mid last year. It featured an episode in which actor Gyllenhaal accompanied Grylls in a distant part of Iceland. Some other episodes show Grylls dropped by a parachute into the forest as well as in the deserts. He survived in those areas for several days by eating snakes, sleeping in snow holes and wrapping a shirt soaked with urine around his head to fight untoward effects of dehydration.
Before establishing a career over the small screen, Grylls first attached to military service. He considered joining the Indian Army and climbed in the Himalayan Mountains of Sikkim following the time he left the school. He for three years, he joined the British Army and served as part-time reserve for the United Kingdom Special Forces with 21 Regiment Special Air Service.
It was his dream to reach the summit of the highest peak on earth when he was just eight as his father shown him a picture of the mountain. In the late 1990s, he fulfilled that dream at the same time beating the Guinness record for the youngest Briton who summit Mount Everest. He was just 23 years old when he successfully reached the peak. Actually, he suffered from injury about 18 months earlier and still under recovery when he made the decision to climb Mount Everest and made it on top.
