The American socialite and TV personality Kim Kardashian filed a divorce after 72 days of being married to Professional Basketball Player Kris Humphries. Kardashian denied the rumors that she gained profit from their marriage that was aired in various networks. Kardashian stated that those reports are not true and clarifying such issues aggravated her sadness.

The “Dancing with Stars” actress and Humphries get married last August but they made the decision to end up their marriage recently. $10 million were spent for their wedding and it was televised on E! Network last October in a program entitled “Kim’s Fairytale Wedding: A Kardashian Event”. In this connection, the actress received a certain amount from the network in return. However, their marriage is about to end for they already filed a divorce.

Despite of their separation, Kardashian want to thank all the people who attended their wedding. Parallel to her denial that she did not marry the athlete merely to generate money, she will be donating the gifts including cash that she received to a charity. She had announced that statement in her website as well.

It is not the first time that Kardashian is getting into divorce. Some times in the year 2000, she had married Damon Thomas, a music producer. Their marriage ended up in a divorce as well in the year 2004. After their divorce, the actress was seen dating several personalities such as Ray J, an R&B singer; Reggie Bush, a football player and Miles Austin, the American football wide receiver. She was also seen together with Gabriel Aubry, a model.

October last year, she started dating the New Jersey Nets star Kris Humphries. Eventually, after about 7 months of knowing each other, they became engaged. They got married last August at Montecito, California. The couple paid nothing for their marriage. Their attires were given to them free along with the invitations for Lehr & Black took full responsibility. The couple did not spend a single dollar to the $750, 000 worth of catering services at the reception for about 500 guests. Nevertheless, due to irreconcilable differences, Kardashian filed for divorce last October 31, 2011, Monday. So people are asking if they just got married for publicity purposes specifically to promote the brand of Kardashian along with other television businesses.

Kardashian was known not simply as an actress but also as a businesswoman. She was a famous TV personality starring in the series “Keeping Up with the Kardashians” along with her family. Her career became brighter during the first month of the present year after the first showing of “Kourtney and Kim Take New York” that is the second offshoot of “Keeping Up with the Kardashians”. Los Angeles Film Critics Association recognized the contribution of American Actress and singer Doris Day in the entertainment circle by giving her the career Achievement Award. The group announced the good news for the actress last Saturday. President of LAFCA Brent Simon stated that the actress remained as a model to other personalities in Hollywood so they made the decision to make her a recipient of the prestigious recognition. Day was one of the biggest female celebrities who portrayed several wonderful performances way back 1960s, Brent added.

The moment the Academy Awards reached the point of choosing its Oscar winners, Day way often times a subject of rumors. Even if she was known as reluctant in attending ceremonies such as awards night and other similar events. On December 11, the group stated that they will proceed in voting winners for this year as previously planned. The New York Film Critics Circle made the decision to stick to their decision to move the date of voting in November. The group is choosing its winners the day after LAFCA had chosen its winners during the past years.

The main objective of The Los Angeles Film Critics Association is to recognize celebrities who performed well in the entertainment circle particularly in the field of movies. Doris Day is an American actress who maintained an astonishing career for almost 50 years. The moment she retired in making films, she became an animal activist. She started as a singer of a band in 1939. Following her hit recording in 1945 entitled “Sentimental Journey”, somebody noticed her talent. She then left her band and grabbed the opportunity to become a solo performer by attaching herself with Columbia Records. Columbia Records was her only recording label from 1947 to 1967. She made about more than 650 recording. Her recording made her one of the most eminent musician of the 20^th century. Following her career as a musician, she entered the world of movies in 1948 with her debut film “Romance on the High Seas”.

Day was nominated in the Academy Awards in her film entitled “Pillow Talk”. In Addition to her achievements, she received Golden Globe, Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award, presidential Medal Freedom as well as Legend Award from the Society of Singers. During an interview with Vanity Fair, American actress, model and singer Scarlett Johansson stated that there is nothing wrong in taking her own photographs. The actress exclaimed that she is aware about her best angles and those photographs were sent to Ryan Reynolds whom she referred to at present as ex husband. Johansson also stated that it is just okay to post in front of the camera in those angels for it is not the same as if she is making a porno though there is nothing wrong about porno either.

Her nude photos were posted in several websites last September when her personal email was hacked by Chistopher Chaney. On the other hand, the hacker was already arrested last October and now facing 26 counts of cyber related crime. Aside from Johansson, Chaney also hacked private emails of Mila Kunis together with Vanessa Hudgens.

Despite of being hesitant in talking about her relationship with her ex husband Reynolds, the 26 year old “Lost in Translation” star stated that she is feeling ambivalent at present. She admitted that she is in a very difficult situation at present and she felt strange about it. She exclaimed that people are aware about anything that is happening in her personal life and it made her feel uncomfortable for nothing seems to be interesting about her already.

The actor starred in many blockbuster movies such as Jurassic Park that generated about $914 million, Pulp Fiction that earned $ 212 million and Star Wars that gained about 2.4 billion. The 62 years old actor starred in more than 100 movies. He made about four movies each year in average but last year he starred in 6 movies.

Aside from being an actor in movies and television, Jackson is a movie producer as well. He started in performing in theaters at Morehouse College following his involvement in Civil Rights and eventually in movies. Before his journey and his mentor Morgan Freeman along with director Spike Lee meet, he played cameo roles in various films including the movie “Goodfellas”. In 1991, he gained a critical acclaim in playing his role in the move Jungle Fever. To generate funds for charities that veteran actor Steve Martin is supporting, he made the decision to write a book basing on his tweets along with various responds from his followers. The future publisher of the book that the comedian will write announced the plan last Friday. Martin announced his plan about the book as well though his account in the social networking site Twitter. Martin wrote in his tweet that he would soon publish a book of his tweets even if no one were demanding for it and along with the book are replies of his followers. He clarified that it is for a cost.

The title of the book is “The Ten, Make That Nine Habits, of Very Organized People Make That Ten”. The publisher will be Grand Central Publishing. The publisher alleged that all profits will go to charitable acts and the book will be available in the market some times in summer next year. The actor starred in the movie “Pink Panther” had been an active user of twitter.

In December last year, several tweets of the 66-year-old actor in the headlines of newspapers for the reason that it is about the legal proceedings at a jury that is supposedly confidential. However, he confirmed that those tweets are not true and he stated that those tweets are inaccurate representations. The last book that Martin wrote entitled “The Object of Beauty” published last year became a best seller according to the list of the New York Times.

Before Stephen Glenn Martin or commonly known as Steve Martin enter the world of acting, he was first a writer. Multi-awarded actor Michael Douglas stated to Alec Baldwin through an interview that he could not forget the time when his doctor told him that he is suffering from advanced stage throat cancer last year. He was diagnosed having the disease in August of 2010. Following that incident, he immediately submitted himself to a series of treatment such as radiation and chemotherapy. After 5 months of continuous treatment, he had recovered from that fatal health condition.

The veteran actor admitted that he could never forget the time his doctor look up at him sincerely and then look back down before saying that they need to take a biopsy because a polyp developed in his tongue. Two days after the biopsy, his doctor called him and confirmed that he is suffering from cancer. The 66-year-old actor divulged that information to Baldwin during their conversation in New York public radio WYNC earlier this week.

Douglas told a brief story about the incident that triggered him to seek for medical assistance during their conversation. “Ghost of Girlfriends Past” actor said that after filming the movie “Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps”, he felt soreness in his throat. However, he just ignored it and considered that it is just due to stress in playing the role of financier Gordon Gekko. Douglas received a lot of awards in 1987 in playing his character in the movie “Wall Street”.

He went through 2 weeks of treatment to get rid from the cancer cells. After completing series of radiation and chemotherapies, he achieved full recovery becasue cancer cells vanished. He wanted to share an advice to those who are suffering from cancer, he stated that recovery from cancer is dependent to how advanced it is when they seek treatment. It is important to seek medical assistance as early as possible for the disease is fatal.

In spite of successful removal of tumor in his throat, Douglas still needs to undergo regular screening because the chance for cancer cells to redevelop is high. “Beyond a Reasonable Doubt” star losses about 32 pounds of his weight because of the aggressive treatment modalities that he used in managing his condition. He always state that he suffered from throat cancer but a lot of physicians believed that the actor developed oropharyngeal cancer. Nevertheless, Douglas claimed that stress, alcohol abuse and smoking caused his condition.

On the other hand, being an actor and a film producer, Douglas state often times that he is “an actor first and a producer second”. Some of his recent projects are “Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps” where he gained a nomination for the Golden Globe Awards for the category Best Supporting Actor. After learning that a school in Joplin, Missouri is destroyed due to a tornado, American Singer, songwriter, musician, arranger, conductor, producer and performer Barry Manilow made the decision to be a philanthropist. Staffs along with students from the school are unloading the stuffs last Friday that Manilow had donated last Thursday for the school that are composed of mostly new musical instruments with a cost amounting to about $300, 000.

Manilow is aware that instruments used by the students in the school were damaged after an EF-5 tornado swept through the place last May. Along with the musical instruments, school buildings and other infrastructures in the area incur damages as well.  To replenish damaged instruments, Manilow donated new instruments for the students to regain their determination to pursue their dreams.

The director of Joplin High School band Rick Castor stated last Friday that in behalf of other staffs in the school along with the students, they are delightful that Manilow is such as nice individual. Everybody in the school felt the essence of sharing as if it is Christmas, he added. The school opened the stuffs that they received the night after they received the boxes. They opened the rest of the boxes the following morning.

Castor stated specific instruments that Manilow gave to them which include a concert grand piano, six new upright pianos together with brass, string and other musical instruments. According to Castor, they are going to put the concert grand piano on the stage temporarily but eventually they will transfer it to the new auditorium later on. The instruments that Manilow donated are from the Manilow Music Project. The Music Project of Manilow had been helping schools that experienced disruption in the music program due to inevitable catastrophes for six years now. Manilow is collaborating with the local drive in gathering used instruments for the benefit of the students in Joplin school. He is into fund raising as well to generate money in buying sheet music that was ruined by the tornado.

Manilow stated that he understand that music is priceless for the students in the school and it is his pleasure to assist those students in coping after experiencing from such devastation for them to continue in dreaming.

Manilow was best admired by his supporters after recording amazing songs such as “Copacabana” also known as “At the Copa”, Can’t Smile Without You”, “Mandy” along with “Could It Be Magic”. Among his albums, five became one of the best selling in charts. Egyptian actor Omar Sharif is indeed a perfectionist when it comes to manners. TMZ reported that “Lawrence of Arabia” star slapped a woman when she cut in line to take a picture along with Sharif. The incident happened when the actor attended The Doha Tribeca Film Festival in Qatar last Thursday morning.

As the woman walked towards the direction of Sharif in the red carpet and asked for a photograph with him, the actor yelled in Arabic stating the girl to wait for her turn. Sharif slapped the girl while yelling words in Arabic. Sharif does not tolerate such behavior for the woman wanted to obtain a photograph first despite the fact that other supporters of the actor are waiting for their turn patiently. On the other hand, the girl did not leave the area but she stuck around and waited for her turn instead. During her turn, he smiled beside the actor as if nothing happened earlier. Rumor arise that the fan is just collecting evidence following the incident.

This is not the first time that Sharif is associated in such situation. He stroked a police officer in July at a suburban Parisian Casino. The Pontoise police officer is about to intervene for the reason that Sharif and a casino dealer has an argument but Sharif insulted the officer and gave him a head butt. The incident resulted in a month long suspended imprisonment sentence issued on August 05, 2003. In addition, he also paid $340 to the police officer for damages along with an amount equivalent to $1, 700 as a fine.

The 79-year-old Hollywood actor was involved in a similar circumstance last February 23, 2007. Sharif attacked a parking lot attendant physically in the parking space at Beverly Hills. He was found guilty about the incident after finding out that the nose of her victim was broken.

In spite of having a history of hotheaded physical exchanges to strangers that the actor met, many people are admiring him for his talent in acting that is evident in films that he made. He started in acting in the year 1953 in the successful movie entitled “Sira Fi al-Wadi”. After his first move, he appeared in over 20 Egyptian movies along with his wife Faten Hamama. Despite of having a perfectionist behavior, Sharif underwent major heart operation in 1992 but still experienced heart attacked in 2004 probably due to excessive smoking. Following the surgical operation done to him, the actor quitted in smoking. He is now living in Cairo along with his family.

Hollywood actor, producer and musician Bruce Willis together with his wife Emma Heming who is a Maltese-born American model and actress are expecting their first baby by early next year. Representative of Willis confirmed that Heming is pregnant and she will deliver the baby by early 2012. Willis and Heming are both excited in welcoming the new member of their family so they are looking forward into another chapter of their lives with a baby.

Heming is the second wife of Willis. Willis met Demi Moore during the premiere of the film Stakeout and they developed a romantic bond. He married Moore some times in late 1987. The couple had three children, Runner Willis, Scout LaRue Willis and Tallulah Willis. Their relationship ended up in a divorce on October 18, 2000. The couple preferred not to disclose the reason of their divorce but Willis started that he failed as a husband and as a father because he failed to maintain a good relationship with his family. Gossips that they will be going to re-marry arise after their break up but Moore married Ashton Kutcher. However, Willis together with Moore and her new husband Kutcher are in good terms. In fact, Willis attended their wedding ceremony. With regard to the custody to their children, Willis and Moore are sharing.

Willis established another relationship with Brooke Burns in 2004 but after almost a year of being together, they broke up. British media reported last Wednesday that English singer –songwriter Amy Jade WineHouse had an excessive alcohol content in her blood when she passed away last July 23 of the same year. According to the report, the singer has five times the legal driving limit of alcohol in her blood amounting to 416 milligrams of alcohol per 100 ml of blood when she died at the age of 27. The legal driving limit of alcohol is only 80 milligrams.

The “Rehab” and “Back to Black” singer had not taken alcoholic beverages in July until the day of her demise. A court trial in London learned that she is in a battle against alcohol and drug addiction while enjoying a bright career in the entertainment circle.  The results backed reports soon following her demise that the award-winning singer tried to handle her addiction but ended up in facing fatal complications such as drinking spree.

While Winehouse is at home in Camden, North London, security personnel is checking on her at around 10 o’clock in the morning as well as around 3 o’clock in the afternoon. Upon noticing something strange is happening, the guard called for emergency services in which the artist was found dead due to an accident.

During the investigation, father of the 27-year-old artist along with other members of their family were present but refused to speak about the incident for the mean time. However, their family stated later that what happened to Winehouse is “some relief” for the singer. In addition, the family stated that they understand that there is excessive level of alcohol in the body of Amy the time she died and it is due to drinking spree that Amy done the past few days before she died. During the court hearing, it was confirmed that Amy is struggling to get rid from dependency in alcohol but he failed to do so on time for she started to drink again after abstaining from taking alcohol for quite some time.

These days, Mitch Winehouse in preparing to establish an institution that aims to help individual particularly the young ones with problem in addiction in honor to his daughter who passed at a young age due to alcohol addiction. The family stated that the charitable act that they will do is in behalf of their beloved Amy who failed to combat his problem. Apart from alcohol, toxicology test confirmed that illegal substance is not present in her systems when she died.

Amy Jade Winehouse was born on September 14, 1983 and died on July 23 at the present year. She was known for her remarkable deep controlto vocals along with her capability to mix different genre from R&B, soul to jazz. Her first album entitled “Frank” was a success in the United Kingdom and received a nomination for the Mercury Prize in the year 2003. Her follow up album entitled Back to Black gave her another nomination in the Grammy Awards and five wins. She was the first British who received five Grammys.
